Outnumbered in Oregon,

a bill they couldn’t defeat,

so Democracy ran 

to hide in Utah

Eleven state senators

decided to flee,

as Democracy ran 

to hide in Utah

Cleaner air was just something 

they could not abide,

so Democracy ran 

to hide in Utah

The future of the planet 

wasn’t worth a few dimes,

so Democracy ran 

to hide in Utah

They were elected to serve,

to let Democracy decide,

but Democracy ran 

to hide in Utah
