What a beautiful sight
you are to behold,
my newborn son
Though your first breath
was only moments ago,
there is already
so much I must share
Please feel my love
and let it surround you
even when
I am no longer
by your side
Know that you did
nothing wrong,
despite any wrongs
that may come to you
The treatment
you will receive
is not what you deserve
I wish I could
always be by your side,
I wish I could
protect you from pain
I’m sorry I feel the need
to share so much
on your very first day of life
But the farmer
will be coming soon,
to pull you from my side,
just like your sister before you
because humans like
the food I make for you
and there is no
room for you
in their equation
